Music

Music is the most extraordinary activity in the believer's life. As we gather for corporate worship, our hearts and minds respond with gratitude for all that the Lord has done for us. When we focus on the truths of scripture, we are reminded that only God is worthy of our worship.

There are many available outlets for worship.

For Singers

Worship Choir

Worship Choir Wednesday evenings form 7:00- 8:30 p.m.

Age requirement: High School and above

For all beginning to advanced singers who love praising our Lord and Savior through song.

Cantata Choir

One Saturday morning each month from 9:00-Noon

Age requirement: High School and above

For all beginning to advanced singers who enjoy preparing seasonal cantatas. This ensemble normally presents a Christmas and Easter cantata each year. See the What's New section of the home page for announcements about upcoming events.

Worship Team

4th Sunday morning of each month with 8:30 a.m. rehearsal

Age requirement: High School and above

For experienced singers who enjoy “blended” and “contemporary” styles of worship singing. Vocalists must audition for this ensemble.

Ladies Ensemble

Sunday evenings after church - 7:00 p.m.

Age requirement: High School and above

The Ladies Ensemble presents special selections during seasonal concerts (i.e. Christmas and Easter) and special occasions.

Mixed Vocal Ensembles

Rehearsals vary depending upon availability

Solo Special Music

Opportunities for intermediate to advanced singers for solo presentations throughout the year, normally on Sunday evenings.

For Instrumentalists

Orchestra

Sunday afternoons from 4:00-5:30 p.m.

Playing requirement: Intermediate to advanced playing skills

This ensemble normally accompanies the Cantata Choir in seasonal performances, as well as preparing and presenting sacred orchestral repertoire.

Grace Notes Choirchimes

Sunday afternoons from 3:30-4:30 p.m.

This ensemble allows participants who are able to read music the opportunity to play sacred repertoire written for Choirchimes (similar to Handbells). The Choirchimes will occasionally accompany congregational singing as well as perform special music throughout the year.

Flute Choir

Playing requirement: Intermediate to advanced playing skill

The flute ensemble prepares special numbers for seasonal concerts (i.e., Christmas and Easter) and special occasions.

Pianists / Keyboardists

Sunday morning and evening accompanying

Pianists and keyboardist can utilize their gifts in accompanying our worship and praise throughout the year. Accompanists must have intermediate to advanced playing skills.

Worship Band

Sunday mornings - 8:30 a.m.

This ensemble accompanies the congregation and Praise Team in Sunday morning worship. Ensemble players must have advanced playing skills and the ability to sight read well.

For Children

Joyful Noise Children's Choir

Tuesdays from 4:00-5:00 p.m.
